How A Health Coach Mentor Can Help You Build Your Business More Efficiently

Having a health coach mentor or business coach can help you achieve success in your business faster, more efficiently, and more cost-effectively than trying to figure out everything on your own.

Here I explain the advantages of investing in a business coach or mentorship program as a health coach, and how to choose the right one for you.

How A Health Coach Business Coach Can Help You

  • Build Your Business Faster: In any field, it makes sense to enlist the help of a mentor to save time and learn from someone else’s mistakes.

Wondering whether you should invest in a custom WordPress site? Or, Google ad words?

A mentor who has extensive experience in your field and who has built a business similar to what you hope to create can guide you. They will help you avoid costly and timely mistakes, and help you focus your time, money, and energy on the places that will have the most benefit and impact.

That likely means you get to where you want to go, faster.

  • Spend Your Time & Money Wisely For The Best ROI: As a new health coach, you’re likely working with a budget (I started with $500) and time constraints (like a full-time job, as I had).

There are a million and one things you can spend your time and money on, but a health coach business coach will help you get focused, cut through the overwhelm, and make smart choices that will deliver the biggest return on your investment.

They can guide you on where to spend, and where to save (and how) as well as how to spend your time wisely.

  • Stop Procrastinating: A good business coach will call you out on your BS and help you eventually start calling yourself out on your own BS. By supplying you with a roadmap of steps to take and igniting the fire under your bum to get moving, a health coach mentor can help you start taking action and stop procrastinating. Your dream business isn’t going to build itself!

  • Get More Clients & Make More Money: The primary reason most people hire a health coach business coach is so that they can make more money. A good mentor will help you do just that, through a multi-pronged, holistic approach.

For example, I help my Bootcamp students :

    • Get laser-focused to define their niche and target market. Without understanding these inside and out, you will be leaving a lot of money on the table.

    • Develop coaching programs that speak to their target market directly. By creating a program people actually want, you increase the odds that people will sign up for it.

    • Get the word out about their business. Whether it’s through content marketing on their website, a weekly email newsletter, social media content, or in person, I help my students get comfortable putting themselves out there. Most importantly, I help my students think about their content and marketing STRATEGICALLY so they increase their ROI. You can be the best health coach in the world, but if no one knows about you, you won’t be able to make a living out of it.

What To Look For In A Health Coach Mentor

  1. Have they built a successful health coaching business or did they just become a business coach for health coaches?

If a health coach business coach hasn’t achieved success as a health coach, they may not be the smartest choice for a mentor.

Look for a mentor who has built a business and life similar to what you’re looking to build. So first, list out the things you hope to accomplish in your business - such as have a successful and full one-on-one practice, online courses, publish a book, host a podcast, get paid to speak at events, etc.

Now, look for a business coach who has done all, or at least most of the things you hope to accomplish, as they will have real-world experience and connections to guide you more adequately.

  2. Will their course or coaching cover the topics you want to learn about?

If your dream is to write a book and become a published author, then it makes sense to find a mentor who has done that.

Are you wondering why your website is not converting and you want to improve it? Then a health coach mentor who has studied web UI/UX and copywriting can help you optimize it. (Both are my specialties).

  3. Will you get personalized feedback?

If the business coaching is in a group format, will you get individualized, one on one feedback?

With so many online business coaching programs out there, I made sure that my Health Coach Business Bootcamp offers the most impact by providing students individualized guidance and feedback throughout the entire course.

Most online business coaching courses do not offer personalized feedback, or if they do, they are double or triple the price. Since I did not have a big budget when I started, and I truly want more successful health coaches out in the world, I have kept the course fee much more affordable compared to other business courses of the same caliber.
